Dr. Monnapula-Mapesela's international exposure is highlighted by her tenure as a visiting professor at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, within the Executive Directorate in Education Administration Programme. Her academic credentials are extensive, featuring a PhD in Higher Education Studies and a Master's degree in Education from the University of the Free State. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic & Student Affairs at Rhodes University.
Accomplished historian, Emeritus Professor Paul Maylam, author of six books and co-editor of a seventh, will on 1 March 2024 give a seminal lecture on the intellectual history of Rhodes University as part of the university’s 120th anniversary celebrations.
Enocent Msindo, an Associate Professor and NRF-rated researcher, specialises in African social and political history, focusing on ethnicity, nationalism, and marginalisation in Zimbabwe across different eras. His notable work includes a monograph, "Ethnicity in Zimbabwe: Transformations in Kalanga and Ndebele Societies, 1860-1990," published by Rochester University Press in 2012. Currently, he serves as the Dean of Humanities at Rhodes University.
