Ripfumelo Chauke, raised in a community plagued by substance abuse and high dropout rates, took a gap year due to financial struggles. But she didn’t give up.
With NSFAS funding and unstoppable drive, she started a hair salon and a tuckshop to support herself.
Today, she becomes the first in her family to earn a university degree.
